Ingredients
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
½ cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs beaten
½ cup sour cream
½ cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cinamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 mashed overripe large bananas (or 3 small to medium bananas)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
Sift the flour, salt, and baking soda into a bowl.
In another large bowl, mix together the butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, and blend.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, and blend well. Fold in the bananas, sour cream, and walnuts.
Spread evenly in the prepared pan. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes in the preheated oven, until a knife inserted into the crown of the loaf comes out clean.
Let the loaf cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes. Then turn out onto a cooling rack and cool completely, serve and enjoy!
Tip: Wrap in aluminium foil or cling film to keep in the moisture.
